 Ferry Service to Nearby Islands Alaska Marine Highway System Alaska Airlines Ketchikan International Airport — Located on Gravina Island, a five minute ferry ride. Ferries depart the airport every half hour. During peak summer periods, departures are every 15 minutes. One way fares are $5.00 adult, $6.00 for vehicles. Taxi & Bus Services Car Taxis — Taxis meet airport ferry and state ferry arrivals. Air Taxis — Scheduled commuter service is provided, as well as lake trips and charter flights. Municipal Bus — Service is provided by Ketchikan Gateway Borough Transit, operates 7 days a week providing service on major streets and in larger residential areas.
